Beef Rice Wraps

by

If you like tacos but prefer them in a gluten-free rice wrap, try this easy recipe.

The basic ingredients and instructions are listed below….

Prep Time:

20 mins

INGREDIENTS:

  • Sirloin steak, chopped into small pieces

  • 1 red onion, chopped

  • 3 ripe tomatoes, chopped

  • 1/2-bunch of cilantro, chopped

  • 4 rice wraps

  • 1/2 tsp Salt

  • 3 tsp Garlic Powder

  • 3 tsp Cumin Powder

  • 1/8 tsp Cayenne Pepper

  • Italian seasoning (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the cumin, garlic powder, salt, cayenne and italian seasoning. NOTE: I never measure the spices, I just throw them in and hope for the best, which is usually fine.

  2. Heat a large skillet and add the cooking oil of your choice. When the oil is hot, put the steak pieces in the bowl of spices and try to coat all sides of all the pieces. Then put them in the pan and brown.

  3. When the meat is browned, add the tomatoes and cook until the entire mixture is reduced, then remove the pan from heat.

  4. While the meat is cooling, chop up a small onion and put in a bowl, and chop the cilantro and put in a separate bowl.

  5. Dip your first rice wrap in water and lay it on a flat surface. You have to work quickly or it will get mushy and fall apart. First, add a small layer of onions in a thin line, then some cilantro, and top it of with a spoonful or two of the steak mixture, then fold over the two wrap edges and roll up the wrap. Put the wrap on a plate and repeat.
